Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's Lofaso invites you explore her inner world through the cuisine she creates. Food that she cooks is a source of interest that was born from the moment she stepped out of the suburban areas of Long Island and into the multi-cultural environment that is Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas coexisting in the same dish is her ideology. In all her dishes she draws a picture which is distinctive and expresses nostalgia for the past. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant which was established by Lofaso in the year 2013. The restaurant was opened by her as a result of her Italian-American background. Lofaso's old-school Italian interpretation is considered one among Los Angeles' most captivating dining establishments. Lofaso has been described as a neighborhood favourite that serves up meals that are delicious, authentic and inviting. Lofaso took her cues from the greats of culinary who used sophisticated techniques. However, she was not afraid to take huge chances to honor her own instincts. She quickly rose through the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago before moving further to collaborate with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso worked together with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar which was the first bar to open within Studio City. The bar was eventually able to get a place in Black Market as well as her partnerships. This collaboration would foster creativity and freedom Lofaso desired. Black Market has no one plan in sight and it is that way. One course may begin with potato chips and peppers Dill. Then it's Korean meatballs and wings. What anchors this bold variety of tastes is Antonia. Lofaso evaluates her achievements over the course of her career based on the innate ability she has to understand her audience and remain authentic to who she is. Her appearances on the Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars emphasized her ability to express her personality outside of the kitchen. In the years since she's continued to pursue her career in front of cameras with judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge and recurring appearances on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso has released her book, The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Simple and Delicious Recipes in 2012, together with Penguin. It also told the tale of her struggles while she studied at The French Culinary Institute. She also raised her daughter Xea and her son Xea. Lofaso insists that the drive that drives her success comes from the heart of cooking and it's in this way that she keeps her a firm finger on the pulse. Chefletics, her new brand that is changing the way chefs dress. The brand combines fashion with functionality. The main goal of Lofaso is to remain true to her vision. With this in mind she created Antonia Lofaso Catering. This will provide clients with the most personal service.
